As the conflict intensifies, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has called on the international community to put more pressure on Russia.

Zelensky described the most recent round of Russian attacks, which included artillery shelling and drone strikes in several different areas.

“That strike on Kharkiv alone resulted in 55 injuries overall, including five children; all of them received aid.” “Unfortunately, two people died,” he said.

He also emphasized how Russian forces used guided bombs, drones, and artillery to assault the areas of Cherkasy, Kherson, Donetsk, Zaporizhzhia, Dnipro, Sumy, and Kharkiv.

“Russian strikes, not just sometimes but literally every day and night, demonstrate Putin’s lack of concern for diplomacy due to their geography and brutality,” he said.

Calls for increased sanctions and air defense

Zelensky urged partners to take more aggressive action against Russia, such as imposing further sanctions and giving Ukraine better air defenses.

He declared that Russia should be subjected to further pressure and all the harsh measures that can undermine its ability to wage war and uphold the system that only seeks conflict.

He emphasized collaboration with the US and European allies and reaffirmed the importance of ongoing international support.

“We expect all the necessary tools to be used by the United States, Europe, and all our other partners who genuinely seek peace and guaranteed security,” he continued.

International support grows

The head of Ukraine recognized fresh defense assistance, including a big parcel from France.

“France is offering Ukraine the biggest defense package this week, valued at EUR 2 billion,” Zelensky said.

Additionally, he highlighted developments in Ukraine’s defense sector, specifically in the manufacture of drones.
