Here’s how netizens reacted:What is Chand Nawab doing now?

Chand Nawab, a Pakistani journalist, was interrupted while covering Eid at a train station fifteen years ago. However, it was his “gold” response that attracted the attention of social media at the time, to the extent that his amusing reporting is still being parodied today.

This time, on Eid 2025, well-known Pakistani actress Mahira Khan, who previously collaborated with Shah Rukh Khan on the Bollywood film Raees, recreated the legendary video in order to preserve its essence.

Wearing a red salwar suit, Mahira’s most recent Instagram Reel flawlessly recreated the journalist’s original reporting from his famous Eid video, mimicking the journalist’s “frustrated” facial expressions.

Similar to the original, a bystander photobombed the scene in Mahira’s parody video. She was observed to be irritated, which precisely captured the spirit of the original, humorous clip.

“Eid aaney waali hai aur Train station pe shoot thi – Chaand Nawab toh banta hai,” the actress wrote as the caption for the amusing reel.

Previously, Nawazuddin Siddiqui’s character in the 2015 Salman Khan and Kareena Kapoor movie Bajrangi Bhaijaan imitated Chand Nawab’s clip.

Here’s how netizens reacted:

Mahira Khan’s reproduction of the famous film thrilled online users, who called it the “BEST thing on the Internet” and questioned whether the actress was preparing to replace content creators.

One person on social media said, “15 years on, still relevant.”

One user described it as “The Iconic Chand Nawab clip.”

“BEST thing on the internet today,” remarked another person.

“Recall value is epic!” said another user.

What is Chand Nawab doing now?

Media reports state that Chand Nawab is currently employed with the Pakistani news channel ARY News.

Additionally, he has appeared in dramas that were produced by Hum Drama and AJ. He has also made appearances in advertisements for companies like Service Shoes, BATA Shoes, Easy Paisa, and KFC.

Following Kabir Khan’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan in 2016, Chand Nawab’s celebrity skyrocketed again, thanks to his viral Eid reporting clip.
