Sam Altman, CEO of OpenAI, recently responded to a post from MyGov India that included Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s now-viral Ghibli-style photos. The initial post and its caption said, “Main character? No. In the words of Studio Ghibli, he is the entire plot of Experience via New India. Altman reposted the post along with an Indian flag emoji.
One of the Ghibli photos of PM Modi that appeared in the post on X showed him with French President Emmanuel Macron and shaking hands with US President Donald Trump. MyGov India also posted further pictures of him posing with the Indian flag while dressed in an army outfit.
At first, it also replicated PM Modi’s photos that had been taken during his trip to the Maldives, beside a Vande Bharat train, and aboard a Tejas fighter jet.
Given Modi’s focus on digital innovation, several social media users even noted that Altman was emphasizing India’s expanding capabilities in the field of artificial intelligence.
The Japanese firm that produced Ghibli used delicate pastel colors and intricate designs. Its AI generation has generated a great deal of internet discussion and controversy. These pictures are now widely available online, and social media is flooded with stunning, surreal Ghibli-style photos. These pictures, which feature fantastical settings and characters with large, expressive eyes, bring to mind the well-known works of Japanese animator Hayao Miyazaki.
With the most recent version of OpenAI’s ChatGPT, users may now produce Ghibli-style graphics, which are rapidly gaining popularity on the internet.
With the help of ChatGPT’s integrated image generator, users can generate AI images by simply entering brief text descriptions. Users can produce their own artwork in a matter of seconds by sharing a photo and providing a description. Up until now, only ChatGPT Plus, Pro, Team, and a few additional membership users could access this function. On Tuesday, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman declared that the feature is now available to free users as well.
