Yuvraj Singh opens KOCA, a new gourmet dining establishment in Gurugram that has the approval of his “hungry” wife!

The man who convinced us of the power of a well-timed “Yuvraj-ism,” the pleasure of real-life comebacks, and the magic of six sixes has discovered a new way to steal the show. Yuvraj Singh, the brilliant player who once hit Stuart Broad for six sixes in a single over, is now offering something even more fulfilling than a last-ball boundary: his own eatery, the Kitchen of Celebratory Arts, or KOCA. However, this is not your typical eatery. Additionally, this is more than just his homage to comfort food and genuine flavors. Driven by a Punjabi’s enduring love of cuisine and hospitality, this restaurant has Pan-Asian and international elements.

Consider it the ideal fusion of a culinary treat and a masterclass in cricket. Feelings? As thrilling as the World Cup final. What about the food? Tastes more powerful than a Yuvraj Singh pull-shot.

Yuvraj was quick to respond, “Face my wife, when she bounces me,” when I asked him which was more nerve-racking: confronting fast bowlers or food reviewers. “A hungry wife is a crucial point that you overlooked,” joked Hazel Keech. Let us face it, a few “hangry wife” times also likely contributed to the development of a meal as daring as his cricket shots.

The reason KOCA is the true star of Gurugram’s culinary scene is that it does not immediately shout Yuvraj. According to Hazel, the majority of eateries that celebrities or cricket players open close because their following base is quite restricted. He therefore wants more than merely his admirers at KOCA. He wants people to enjoy the joys of a delicious meal and wonderful food-related stories. According to Hazel, “He is a partner in the restaurant, not a celebrity promoting a product.”

Although the restaurant’s atmosphere is “not about Yuvi,” there is a unique “Yuvi’s Favorites” menu that is inspired by his early years. The cuisine, which was created by Chefs Megha Kohli and Noah, honors hearty childhood flavors with dishes like seafood linguine, yakitori, smoked cottage cheese tikka, rajma avocado galouti, and kadhi chawal risotto. In keeping with Yuvraj’s dedication to sustainable and mindful eating, KOCA also provides a carefully chosen vegan cuisine.

Shobhit Aggarwal and Kapil Goel created the newest project under Glamosphere Hospitality, which has big intentions to grow both domestically and beyond. KOCA, which is 14,000 square feet over two stories and can accommodate 500 people for seats, is the realization of Yuvraj Singh and his partner Deepak Sahni’s concept. Officially opening on April 12, 2025, KOCA is open from 11 am to 2 am.

“KOCA is more than just a restaurant—it is a dream brought to life,” Yuvraj Singh said in reference to the opening. I have always had a personal passion for food, so I wanted to design a room that embodies my experiences and the flavors I value. From traditional childhood fare to modern international inventions, KOCA is all about savoring cuisine, flavors, and community. I can not wait for others to have that experience.

Therefore, this venue promises to be more than just a stopover—it is a full-on experience, regardless of whether you have watched his career from the stands or you are just here for the food.
